Today's Cartoon and its impact on children

In the era, where science and technology is getting advanced day by day, technology aided media is getting a bigger source for people lenhancementtoo .It is getting a fundamental pillar of any society's structure to play a better role in their developing process.Media and technology usage have dramatically increased in the last few years

Technology and media have improved the world by allowing people to understand the advancement and science of the world, but does technology have side effects as well. As more people are indulging themselves in the world of technology and media, what are the positive and negative effects of the technology aided media used by adolescents.

Mostly children use media for entertainment through different television cartoons which once used to be profitable for children physical and mental health as those cartoons used to promote healthy and profitable content for children but it seems completely different today as we see the adolescents are getting dull by watching today's cartoon .these cartoons usually  doesn’t have any aim to promote any of good and useful messages and to make children learn fundamental  ethics in their developing process/age.

If we talk about today's cartoon and don't mention Doremon than it would be unfair. Doremon, Kids Favourite Cartoon features a character which is a future robot that is  shown to be friend with a Japanese little boy "Nobita" and his friends and family.The character in the Doraemon, Nobita don’t love to study and always run away from study and always tries to find out shortcuts through his Robot Friend Doremon's future gadgets like anywhere door , memory bread,3d printer which converts all your designs in real and many more which makes which are impossible in real life even in future.But for a child,it is not easy to understand what fiction is so they take all these things to real life and tries to  adopt things ,behaviors  and shortcuts that are shown in those cartoons .
This leaves a bad impression on your children and he will also try to imitate Nobita and don’t want to study and skip chores and have physical games which is used to be a best part of childhood .

Friedrich and Stein (1973) exposed preschool children to either 20 min of Batman and Superman or to a series of neutral live action cartoons. Regardless of condition, children viewed their assigned media selections three times a week, for four weeks. At the end of the experimental period, physical and verbal aggression towards peers, rule obedience, and tolerance for delay were assessed. Children watching the violent cartoons were more disobedient and less tolerant of delay. Moreover, children  who exhibited high levels of aggression prior to the experiment became more aggressive if they watched the violent cartoons than if they watched the nonviolent cartoons. Similarly, Steuer, Apple field, and Smith (1971) found that 11 daily 10 min sessions of watching Saturday morning programs (which had a preponderance of unspecified cartoons and occasional live-action programs) resulted in greater physical aggression towards peers in comparison to young children watching a series of non-violent cartoons. Interestingly, the amount of physical aggression displayed by the children who watched Saturday morning programming was increased throughout

The problem with today's cartoon is that they feature characters, heroes that tries to convince children that technology is the only force for good.There are several reasons to stop your children from watching such type of cartoons which are full of fiction and violent content .Children tries to adopt expressions , gestures and bad habits of the cartoon characters .These cartoons makes kids lazy and helpless as they find technology as the only solution in these cartoons .
As cartoons like Doremon,, The PowerpuffGirls, Hagimaru, Tom and Jerry , ben ten etc are full of angry
characters who always scolds and fight with each other leave an image on kids  that their families are their enemies.

Pakistan is not only one of the youngest countries in its region, but also in the world. For at least the next  three decades, Pakistan will continue to be a younger country-Neil Buhne (Resident Representative of United Nations Development Programme, Pakistan)
As children are not ready to leave TVs all day , It is an alarming situation for both parents and government of Pakistan as the children are avoiding the real life out of the television’s world ,which is making them useless and aggressive by nature so in such a condition , parents duty is to look after their children when they are watching cartoons and parents should sit with their children and tell them about each and anything that in happening in cartoons can’t be real in real life and Parents should set a particular time of cartoons for their children and make them to get involve in Sports activities more than sitting on TVs.
Government should also stop regulating such cartoons which are harmful for the future of the country and should replace these cartoons with such fruitful content for the children which may help children in their developing age ,which may help them in differentiating between right and wrong stuff and should help them in their academic life .
